Marlo grew up in Asheboro, North Carolina with her parents and two older sisters. Her very earliest memories were of a family centered on Christ, and a mother who loved to gather her girls around the piano for hours at the time while the old hymns of the faith were sung in three-part harmony. Marlo grew to love the music, and even more, she came to love The One about whom the songs were written. As a young girl, she prayed to receive Christ into her own life, and thus began her own personal journey of learning and faith.

In 1989, Marlo's high school sweetheart graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO; and one week later, they were married and headed off for pilot training and a career in the Air Force. Many wonderful and exciting things happened during those years serving our country, but the sudden, tragic death of her husband and father-in-law in the summer of 1997 rocked Marlo's world and changed the course of her life forever. Amazingly, it was through experiencing her worst nightmare come true that she began to realize her dreams were not God's dreams. Her plans had not been God's plans. After embracing the truth of Jeremiah 29:11, which says that God has plans to prosper His children and not bring them harm, Marlo purposed her life to be a quest in search of just what that meant for her and her five year-old son, Benjamin. Through the personal surrender of her heart; Marlo began a journey towards healing that brought her out of the dark despair of death and into the radiant light of her glorious future.

Today Marlo is living out a life she could have never dreamed possible ~ full of love and hope ~ grace and abundance. God restored her heart's desire to be a wife when she realized that her long time Air Force friend, Steve Francis, was a precious gift ~ a sweet surprise saved just for her and Ben. As Marlo has said, "God's simplest dreams are better than the very best fiction anyone on earth could ever pen." As a wife, mother, author, singer, and speaker - Marlo is truly living out her life verse, Psalm 30:11-12, which says,

"Thou has turned for me my mourning into dancing: Thou hast put off my sackcloth; and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may sing praise to Thee, and not be silent. OH LORD my God, I will give thanks unto Thee for ever." (KJV)

Through Dreamed for Me Ministries, all Marlo says, writes, and sings is simply her heart's cry of thanksgiving to the best and most capable dreamer of dreams... God. Marlo goes and shares her story with all that invite her, and she is committed to taking that story anywhere God opens the door. Statement of Faith:

I Believe:
That the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.

In one God, the Creator; eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

That Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and that He was and remains True God and True Man.

That God created Adam and Eve in His own image; that they sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that, as a result of Adam's sin, all human beings are now born with a sinful nature and stand guilty before God.

That the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitution sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.

In the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.

In the blessed hope of the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

That all who by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.

That the Holy Spirit indwells and gives spiritual life to all Believers, enables them to understand Biblical truth, empowers them for Godly living, and equips them for service and witness.

In the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
